7.0 CONTROL.DAT

The CONTROL.DAT file contains the 16 sectors of Control Data that are placed in the disc’s Lead-in Area during mastering. During the mastering process, the Control Data is repeated 192 times in the Lead-in Area to ensure data integrity during readout. The record size options for the CONTROL.DAT file are 2048 or 2054 bytes. Therefore the CONTROL.DAT file size must be 32,768 or 32,864 bytes.
