Implementation Guidelines Version 1.0
New
discs and new hardwares compliant to the new specifications
can not be always compatible with existing legacy hardwares
and the worst case scenario is to damage discs and user data
which we should avoid. DVD forum especially Working Groups and
Technical Coordination Group have put lots of efforts to avoid
such incompatibility issues. TCG created new ad hoc group; ad
hoc 0-0 (ah 0-0) to make this guidelines to provide the solutions
to minimize the incompatibility issues in its meeting in Davos,
Switzerland June 2006. This
is not the complete guideline to fully avoid the incompatibility
issues however we hope all of the designers can effectively
use this guidelines in designing DVD products to minimize
the incompatibility issues. |
